I was treated and well cared of by staff & nurses in the hospital the time I was admitted & discharged.
I have been very pleased with my hospital experience while in the care of Mr G Cunnick, Mr Farid Ahmed and excellent team.I have felt confident and safe at all times before and after biopsy procedures and the main operation.
However, an unfortunate lack of communication (or misunderstanding) between the pre- op assessment team and surgical members of staff resulted in a last minute operation postponement, wasting the surgeons, Mr G Cunnick and his team's valuable time also leaving myself considerably deflated. The oversight came to light because of the vigilance of one of the anaetheticians.I think the problem was
One month later I had the operation on May 29th and everything has gone very well to date. I have been treated kindly with dignity and respect in a friendly environment. The standard of cleanliness that I observed in the hospital is very good with attentive efficient nursing staff..
Very friendly staff from reception to nurses etc. No complaints
I Visited The Breast care unit as a recall following a Routine Mammogram , the Staff treated with respect and kindness ,I can not praise all the Staff highly enough , I had Biopsies taken , if you have to visit The breast care unit you could not have better care or treatment , by all STAFF
The staff and care are second to none. I have been treated with patience and care during my surgeries, I don't hesitate to recommend Wycombe Hospital and Staff.
I attended HWH as a day case. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. They were under extreme pressure as they were under staffed, due to the fact that it was the day after New Years Day. However, they all worked exceedingly hard to make my visit as comfortable as possible.
High wycombe hospital staff were great during my visits and surgery for breast cancer. The surgery team were efficient as well as the day care staff.
We got parked ok everytime although 5quid is steep when you have to go often.
Every visit to this hospital was excellent. The staff all treated me really well. My only complaint sadly is the same at all hospitals..... the parking. When you are sitting there for hours waiting to find out whether or not you have cancer the last thing you want to be worrying about is the parking charges!!!
Ward 12 c Urology: Rather disappointing compared with previous visits. On this latest occasion, a bloodstained hospital gown and bloodstained bed linen were not replaced. On discharge, prescription drugs were not returned. Overnight, sleep was disturbed by fellow patients snoring and radio play, and also by their treatments (but this is probably the same for any NHS ward) There appeared to be a cleanliness problem with the bathroom. The staff are all very friendly, but I just wondered if a little bit closer supervision may be required?
Upon arrival at Wycombe hospital for the first time, I wasn't sure where to go and didn't really have time to look at signage as other traffic and ambulances were also entering the hospital.
I took a hasty left turn and ended up doing a tour right around the hospital before finally arriving in the visitor car park. Note to self if I come here again to go straight ahead and bear right.
I was relieved to see that I didn't need to pay for parking in advance as I had no idea how long I would be and also given the parking charges, glad that credit cards were accepted.
Getting to the breast clinic from the car park was an orienteering challenge in itself. One that is not possible without asking for directions from the hospital staff.
Eventually, upon arrival, I found the clinic to be an oasis of calm and professionalism. It's modern, fresh and you are greeted by lovely receptionists who inform you about what you need to do. Within 10 mins of arrival I'd had my mammogram, swiftly followed by an ultrasound. There was then a rather lengthy and worrisome wait to see the Doctor to get my results.
I was glad to have my results on the day as everything turned out to be normal and no need for onward treatment.
Overall, the staff at the Wycombe Breast Clinic are friendly, professional and uber organised. The equipment is modern and you feel that you are being offered the best service all available on our NHS
